#7 – Debug Settings to make Graphics Crashers obsolete

Contains information on how to adjust a few debug settings that will allow your viewer to automatically derender rezzed or worn graphics crashers.


SecondLife Viewer:

Open Debug settings and set the following values:

  • Me > Preferences > Check Show Advanced Menu >Debug > Debug Settings
  • RenderAutoHideSurfaceAreaLimit 114
  • RenderAutoMuteSurfaceAreaLimit 2100
  • RenderAttachedLights FALSE

Firestorm Viewer:

Open Debug settings and set the following values:

  • Hold (Ctrl + Alt + Shift + S)
  • RenderSculptSAThreshold 114.000
  • RenderAutoHideSurfaceAreaLimit 114.000
  • RenderAutoMuteSurfaceAreaLimit 2100
  • RenderAttachedLights FALSE

Singularity Viewer:

Open Debug settings and set the following values:

  • Advanced > Debug Settings
  • RenderAutoHideSurfaceAreaLimit 114
  • RenderAutoMuteSurfaceAreaLimit 2100
  • RenderAttachedLights FALSE

Once set, your viewer will automatically derender any worn or rezzed linksets that lag and crash your graphics driver.

#4 – Movelock and Flight Assist Boost

With Firestorm (4.6.7.42398) you can activate movelock while you move around and boost your flight.

For Movelock:

Going “Avatar” > “Preferences” > “Move & View” > “Movement” > and ckeck “Lock and unlock position after stopping or starting movement“.


For Flight Assist Boost:

Going “Avatar” > “Preferences” > “Firestorm” > “General” > and choose your “Flight Assist Boost“.
